Finnish ‘Laila’ armchair, model ‘238’, designed by Ilmari Lappalainen in 1948. Manufactured by Asko in Finland, 1950s. Recently reupholstered in dark brown sheepskin.

This armchair belongs to Ilmari Lappalainen’s notable ‘Laila’ series, a design celebrated by collectors even during its production era.
