Pair of ‘Oxford’ low-back chairs, model no. ‘3171T’, designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen, Denmark, 1965/1981. Base in cast-aluminum with a fixed seat height and swivel function. Recently reupholstered in light fabric.

The ‘Oxford’ chair was originally designed by Arne Jacobsen for the professors at St. Catherine’s College at the University of Oxford. Jacobsen was also in charge of the college building itself, and he was asked to design the surrounding landscape and a series of furniture.
